Terms of service

1. What KaraWell is (and is not)

KaraWell is a personal health organization tool: it stores the health information you provide or import, and uses AI to help you organize and understand it. KaraWell is not a healthcare provider, does not practice medicine, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. See the Medical Disclaimer, which is part of these terms. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 to create an account, provide accurate information, and keep your credentials secure. You may add family-member profiles only if you have the legal authority or the member’s consent to manage their health information. You can delete your account and all data at any time in Settings → Account & Security.

3. Your data and license to us

Your health data remains yours. You grant KaraWell a limited license to store and process it solely to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

4. Subscriptions and billing

KaraWell offers monthly subscriptions (KaraWell, KaraPro). On the web, billing is processed by Stripe; on iOS/Android, by Apple or Google through your store account. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled — on the web via Manage Subscription, on mobile via your store’s subscription settings. Fees are charged in advance and, except where required by law or by the applicable store’s policy, are non-refundable for partial periods. Prices may change with advance notice; changes apply at your next renewal. Beta access passes are temporary and convert to the normal paywall when they end.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the service: no unauthorized access, no scraping or reverse engineering, no uploading unlawful content, no using KaraWell to build a competing dataset, and no entering another person’s health information without authority to do so.

6. AI outputs

AI-generated content can be incomplete or wrong. It is labeled as AI-generated, is provided for informational purposes only, and must not be relied on as a substitute for professional medical judgment. Always confirm important information against your original records and with your clinician.

7. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep KaraWell available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, add, or remove features. If we discontinue the service, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to export your data.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, KaraWell’s total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Termination

You may stop using KaraWell and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of KaraWell’s principal place of business. Questions and complaints: admin@karawell.ai — we review and respond to all complaints.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes we will notify you in the app and by email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance; if you do not agree, delete your account before the changes take effect.
